Review: Injinji Performance 2.0 Socks

The new 2013 Injinji Performance 2.0 line of toe socks are AWESOME. I’ve worn my fair share of these foot-beasts and can vouch for not only their comfort, but their ability to get you through long races unscathed. I was hesitant about toe socks after a pretty bad experience with Five Fingers, but once you get them on and log a few runs with them, you’ll see what I mean. Also, with the new 2.0 line’s varying degrees of thickness, you can tailor which socks to wear with which shoes for which events. It’s nice. My favorites are the no-show midweight, no-show lightweight, and compression. While they can be a little pricey, the amount of comfort and stress-free running justifies the cost for me. Let me know what YOU think in the comments below! Do you have a favorite sock?

  • I consistently run about 25 miles a week and have always worn traditional moisture wicking running socks. However, I decided to try the Injinji socks based on your review. I purchased a single pair and went out on a mid week 6 mile run. I have to say that the difference was immediately noticeable and a bit odd. The first couple of miles the front of my foot actually hurt a little as I got used to running with these on. By mile 3 and 4 I could really feel my toes and forefoot actually working differently. I’m excited to see how the next week goes and if this improves my efficiency long term. Thanks for the review and keep up the good work. Loved your article about the North Face endurance challenge. Congratulations.

  • Will I do like the socks from injinji. I lean more toward the smartwool brand. Smartwool’s return policy is top notch, even if you don’t order the product from their website. I have had a different experience with injinji’s return policy.

  • The new SmartWool toe socks are phenomenal. I prefer the over Injinjis, and appear to have fixed the. Wear problems with the first generation of SmartWool toe socks.

  • I ran a 20 mile trial with over 2400 feet of gains under some nasty conditions, rain, ice snow over the weekend in NJ with the compression version of these socks. I have to say they performed awesome even wet! My feet were comfortable with no type of issues. Thanks for the recommendation. I’m going to buy a few pairs for my friends as well!
