18 Nov Review: ECCO Biom Evo Racer Lite
So, Ecco recently contact me and asked if I’d like to review a pair of their BIOM Evo Racer Lite. Never one to turn down the opportunity to review a new pair of kicks, I obliged, not fully sure of what I would get. I am happy to report that I have enjoyed my time in the Evo Racers more than I expected I would.
They are a fast, responsive 5mm drop shoe utilizing a polyurethane midsole material. The upper is a bit on the thick and heavy side, the heel weighs down the shoe’s performance and they take quite a bit of getting used to and never felt “broken in”. However, the runs have all been relatively fun and I enjoyed my time in the shoes.
I would definitely recommend trying them on if you’re in the market for a racing flat but don’t want to go the way of “full-minimal”. They would make an interesting addition to anyone’s shoe locker come race-day. In the comments below, let me know what you think if you’ve tried out the Ecco Biom Evo Racer Lite!
- Responsive (Polyurethane)
- Anatomical Ankle
- Moderately Flexible
- No Wear
- Heel Drop (5mm)
- Stiff, Harsh Ride At Times
- Upper Stiffness
