Review: Brooks Running Gear

Brooks Reviews!

Thank you Brooks for droppin some hot gear off at the Ginger’s abode! I got the chance to try out the Brooks Infiniti III shorts, the Brooks Nightlife Essential Run Jacket and the Brooks Utopia Thermal 1/2 Zip. All 3 pieces have made their way through my typical gear rotation (the shorts more than anything, LOVE them) so I got some good solid time in each for these reviews. I will opt to just post [...]

NEW SHOE FROM NEWTON: 2013 Newton Energy NR

The New Newton Energy NR

Well, the announcement just came through my inbox and I have verified that it’s true, Newton has announced a new shoe to their line-up due July 17th. They are calling it the Newton EnergyNR. Review: Saucony Kinvara 3

still

This shoe is awesome. There are so many things that I like and only a few things I don’t. Review: The New Balance 1400

still

After seeing a pair of the New Balance 1400′s in person, I went online, bought myself a pair, and have fallen in love. Simple as that. I’m a huge fan of these shoes – both as runners and also as casual all-around shoes. They are extremely comfortable, light, and look awesome. While I’m not a fan of the laces of tongue system, the comfort of the upper more than makes up for it. While these [...]

Review: The Newton MV2

Screen Shot 2012-01-14 at 7.25.30 PM

I really enjoy running in the Newton MV2 (“MV Squared”). This sucker is light and fast, exactly what it was designed to do. While I love it for anything from 5ks to 10ks (and it’s capable of MUCH more), I haven’t been able to wear it on anything longer than a half marathon without soreness. But that could be due to my weak, weak, ginger legs. One of the major changes from other Newton shoes is [...]
