I love this shoe. It has pretty much everything I need in a trail shoe: comfort, traction, a solid and simple upper, flexibility, durability and a stable but forgiving stance. I think one of it’s most stand-out benefits is the shoe’s long-lasting comfort. I’ve put some serious miles on these bad boys and they still impress me. From the 10k+ foot mountains outside Los Angeles, to the rolling hills of the Santa Monica range, the Trail N1 shoes have been through it all and rock. There are a few dislikes – especially with the upper durability and e-motion marketing confusion (what EXACTLY does it all mean??). Regardless, I’ve put long hard miles in this shoe and I still love it. If my review doesn’t sell you on these suckers, just know that some of the best trail runners (Timothy Olsen) have won some pretty substantial races (Western States 2 years in a row) wearing this shoe. Well done, Pearl Izumi!
